淺談無葉風扇運用到直升機的可行性
Is the Bladeless Helicopter Possible

戴森空氣倍增器(無葉風扇)兩年前開始面世的時候,很多人都沒有想到航空上的空氣倍增裝置可以運用到風扇上面。現在反過來,空氣倍增器可否反過來運用在直升機上呢?
When the Dyson Air Multiplier(bladeless fan)appeared two years ago, many people found amazing to apply the air multiplier technology from aviation industry to fans we used. Now, we should ask a question, is it possible to apply this tech back to aviation industry again, to helicopters?

如圖所示,論證的空氣倍增器和戴森的無葉風扇很像,唯獨後者的風力倍增由一台內置風扇提供,而本裝置則由8台裝置、每台裝置由兩個八葉風扇組成。
From the picture above, we may find that there is no difference between the basic concepts of Dyson's fan and the air multiplier we are talking about. The only difference is that there is only one fan inside the Dyson's bladeless fan while in this air multiplier, we have seven more.

理論上,戴森的空氣倍增器可以將空氣增強15倍,而本裝置的目標,是將空氣倍增到超過400倍,使其足以承拖起直升機的機體。
In theory, Dyson's fan can enhence the air flow to 15 times stronger, but our goal is to increase the strength to 400 times larger, to support the weight of an helicopter.

使用空氣倍增器的好處很明顯。傳統的直升機由於外露的槳葉而變得十分脆弱,一旦槳葉受損,將失去大部分的提升力。而空氣倍增器,因為是中空的,不容易受損,且提供風力的八台風扇任意一台受損,都不會影響整體的運作。
The advantage can be great: traditional helicopter becomes fragile because of its blades. If any one of these blades is damaged, the helicopter will lose most of the aviating power. But in this case, because of the hollow body, it's not so easy to be damaged. Meanwhile, there are eight fans, therefore any of them being broken will merely affect the overall performance of the aviating power.

無葉直升機理論上的噪音水平會比傳統直升機大幅下降,在軍事上也有一定的發展潛力。
Last but not least, bladeless helicopter will decrease the noise greatly, which will be a great advantage in military use.
