They are finding and certainly have found numerous solutions.

There are hidden costs..  The system is not closed systems.   It require constant energy sources to keep water pumping.  adding nutrients for all the plants.   And there are also additional hardware costs to raise plants from seeds to young plants before transplant them.   It can be a very labor intensive.
